We add the maps to Qype

Map the Q

Have you wondered why Qype with all their rich data on where to eat and drink is missing a decent map that pins all those places? We surely have.

Instead of waiting for a fix we have fixed that ourselves: Map the Q – with permission by Qype of course. Thanks to a brand new product of ours called Maptoolkit the site was just a matter of hours.

Functions include:

  • Fulltext search
  • Auto locator (click “feel lucky?”)
  • Location search
  • Clustering with heatmap functionality
  • Optional display of further data such as points of interests, photos or current weather.
  • Openstreetmap map tiles in addition to Google Maps

We have originally developed Maptoolkit in cooperation with the Austrian National Tourist Office – they will use the technology for their upcoming relaunch – and now licence it out to medium and large sized website customers, mainly in the tourism and the publishing industry. Needless to say that also our own baby Bikemap.net is powered by Maptoolkit.
